elders & disability

Elders are the backbone of our community, providing important guidance, support, education, structure and so much more. However, due to lifetimes of disadvantage across our people, we also have the worst health outcomes of any group within Australia. This includes shorter lifespans, more chronic disease, higher rates of diabetes and eye problems, higher levels of addictions such as tobacco and alcohol, and almost every other report card that health services measure is not good enough.

We need our Elders to live long and healthy lives so that all the stability and benefits they bring to us can continue and so we can grow stronger.

Not only this, but we have a lot of disability within our community, much of it the result of generational trauma, poverty and disadvantage.

But we are helping to turn this all around. By providing great services to support people and improve health, we make individuals happier and more productive in building a stronger community.

Support for Elders and people with disabilities to help you keep living at home. Includes household maintenance and personal care.
